BUILDING SUSPENSE: Guests at the Lanvin men’s show in Paris included British rapper Tinie Tempah, who captured the whole thing on his cell phone. Tempah is keeping fans on tenterhooks with the title of his second album. “In about a week, I’m going to tell everybody, but just not yet. I don’t want to jinx it,” he explained. “It begins with a ‘D,’ if that helps.” Tempah hopes to complete the follow-up to his 2010 debut, “Disc-Overy,” by the end of March and spend the summer playing festivals in Europe. “Then hopefully towards the end of the year, I’ll go back in with an arena tour and some other exclusive dates around the world, and make the second album amazing,” he said.
Tempah was joined by artist and director Isaac Julien, Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu, and David Collins, the London designer behind the Blue Bar at the Berkeley hotel. Collins said his next assignments included a project for a Mandarin Oriental hotel in Qatar. He also has a few fashion-related jobs in the works, but kept mum on the details. “I want to be the anonymous person that people aren’t sick of using,” he confided.
