DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER: The ninja-style acrobats that chased Jean Paul Gaultier off the catwalk at his men’s wear show Thursday failed to scare Suzy Menkes. One of the members of the Yamakasi troupe, based in France, leapt down and leered at Menkes, but the International Herald Tribune’s veteran fashion editor just laughed and leered right back. “My heart is still beating fast!” exclaimed Chinese jewelry designer Bao Bao Wan after the James Bond-themed show. Wan said she would launch a collection later this year that will mark a departure from her usual Chinese themes like pagodas, butterflies and bamboo. “This new one will be about a Florence church,” she said.
