Front Row at Emporio Armani

Luke Evans and trumpeter and concert artist Alison Balsom attended the show.

BLADES OF GLORY: For Luke Evans, who plays the role of Aramis in the upcoming 3D version of Alexander Dumas' book “The Three Musketeers” directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, technology can only go so far. That meant he had to become quite the swordsman. “We trained for weeks, but it was fantastic. It’s an enormous production, with great costumes,” Evans enthused at Emporio Armani, his first-ever fashion show.

Trumpeter and concert artist Alison Balsom said fashion is relevant in her profession, as she scouts for the right look on stage. “It’s important to create a presence as beautiful as the music,” she mused. Mauro Bergamasco, flanker of rugby team Stade Francais, said the worlds of fashion and sports increasingly blend so that “athletes wear fashion in a different way, and fashion helps create a different image of athletes.”
