Missoni Men's RTW Fall 2009
With three seasons under her belt as men’s designer, Angela Missoni has nailed down the elusive Missoni guy, and made him modern. She also got the tailoring right, masterfully mixing suits in traditional English fabrics with the house’s signature knits. There were edgier silhouettes, too, including elongated sweaters shown over cropped pants in acid tones. Missoni also stepped beyond the comfort zone of the house’s staple zigzags, introducing futuristic plaids and patchworks, and layering them with confidence. A new generation Missoni man has arrived, and he looks very hip.
