SOUTHERN COMFORT: Mia Moretti is digging a southern vibe. The DJ, who had just arrived in Paris, said at the Viktor & Rolf show on Saturday that her latest single with The Dolls is a collaboration with New Orleans-based all-girl brass band Original Pinettes.

“I go straight from Paris to Texas for the South by Southwest festival, and that’s where we’re premiering the single,” she said. “It’s a really fun track, because we went to New Orleans to record all these brass instruments, then we mixed it very DJ-centric. So it’s a bit of a dance track, but it still has that essence of New Orleans.”

While in Paris, apart from “shows, shows, shows,” Moretti’s Conversations arts collective will be hosting an event Saturday evening. “It’s a little break from all the fashion week parties,” she said. “Just don’t publish the address.”
