RAIN AND SHINE: Joely Richardson, who took in the Temperley London show Sunday afternoon, was contemplating her costume change for later that day.
“I have to rush off after this and get ready for the Baftas tonight. I’m wearing William Vintage — my dress is called ‘The Burst of Sunshine,’” she said, noting that it was her first time she'd donned vintage for the red carpet.
Her films “Endless Love” and “Vampire Academy” have just opened in the U.S. Recently, she’s been shooting a new film in New Orleans, but was mum on the details.
Designer Alice Temperley used the show to raise awareness for the Somerset Emergency Flood Relief Fund Appeal. Her family, from Somerset in southwestern England, has been hard hit by the recent severe storms in the south and west of England.
She asked the audience to Tweet the hashtag #Floodsupport to raise the profile of the appeal, and has a link on her brand’s Web site for visitors to donate to the effort.
“My 98-year-old grandfather has been displaced along with so many of our family friends,” Temperley noted. “I want to use the international exposure of our show…to get everyone talking about what is happening on our very doorstep.”
