BREAK A LEG: Two of the young French actresses present at Maxime Simoens’ show Sunday were crossing their fingers that their latest theatrical projects would be snapped up by the major Parisian venues.
Lolita Chammah just played Marilyn Monroe in a stage version of “Fragments,” a 2012 book featuring previously unpublished notes by the icon, in Orléans, France. “I hope we will do a reprise in Paris,” she confided.
The actress, Isabelle Huppert’s daughter, had just on Friday finished shooting Sophie Letourneur’s movie “Gaby Baby Doll,” in which she stars alongside Benjamin Biolay.
Alysson Paradis, meanwhile, has high hopes that a short play she will feature in as part of the Festival Mises en Capsules at Salomé Lelouch’s Ciné 13 Théâtre later this year will be chosen by one of the Parisian theaters. “I really want to be on stage at the moment. I miss it,” she said. “The adrenalin is incredible, because of the direct relationship with the audience.”
Rising Belgian actress Pauline Burlet, for her part, revealed she was taking in her first-ever fashion show. “I always wear Dior, and here I am being initiated with Dior’s new darling designer,” she said of Simoens. “I love what he does, I think it’s very beautiful.”
Lin Dan Pham and Aïssa Maïga completed the panoply of starlets sitting front row.
