NORTHERN EXPOSURE: Marie-Josée Croze has been spending a lot of time in her native Canada. The actress shot two movies there back-to-back: Denys Arcand’s “Deux nuits/Two Nights” and the Wim Wenders-directed “Everything Will Be Fine.”

“I hadn’t filmed in my country in 10 years,” Croze said at the Elie Saab show in Paris on Monday. “There were loads of technicians with whom I had already worked. In fact, it was as if I had never left.”

Despite its title, “Everything Will Be Fine” is the story of a writer, played by James Franco, haunted by a car accident in which he kills a child. “That’s Wim’s sense of humor, I think,” said Croze of the film’s title. She plays Franco’s second wife in a storyline spanning 10 years.

Emmanuelle Béart and Déborah François also took in the show.
