At the Marchesa show, the look was inspired by the outdoors.

Inspired by Indian royalty, makeup artist Gucci Westman for Revlon created a clean face with a bold floating liner on the eyelids. “I was envisioning a maharani princess. I like the eccentricity of that,” she said. To create the look, she began by prepping the skin with Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator in Peach and Bare Light, and applied foundation only where needed. On cheeks, she blended two lipsticks in berry shades for a natural flush, and on lips she used Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Fig Jam. On the eyes, she used Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner in green for models with light eyes and in blue for models with dark eyes, creating a rather thin, perfect line over the lid. She finished the effect with a bit of mascara on the lashes. Brows were groomed and filled in a touch. “It doesn’t look cosmetic. It looks natural and outdoorsy,” Westman said.

For the hair, Mark Hampton for Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe sought to create two windswept looks inspired by the Scottish Highlands. To prep the looks, he used Prep Volume Plumping Mousse. For the first style, he braided hair into cornrows to define the scalp. Braids continued down the back of the head — along with loose strands — and were gathered in a very low ponytail. For the second, Hampton created a “bad-ballerina-girl bun” by gathering hair in a high ponytail and half twisting it. It was loosely pinned to create a “young, cool” effect.

Manicurist Jin Soon Choi, using Revlon nail implements and polishes from the brand’s existing Marchesa collection, created a subtle nude nail. She applied one coat of Gray Suede on short nails to blend in with models’ skin tones. “It’s more of a complementing role [for nails],” she said.
