Prabal Gurung Hosts After Party on the Bowery

The designer greeted well-wishers on the packed dance floor as a DJ cranked out an onslaught of Nineties and early Aughts hip-hop.

The scene at Prabal Gurung’s after party at the new Bowery club Bow was very loud and dark, which seemed to suit attendees just fine. Gurung greeted well-wishers on the packed dance floor as a DJ cranked out an onslaught of Nineties and early Aughts hip-hop. The track selection gave way to short performance by Eve, a rapper whose best work straddled that vintage, and who had sat front row at Gurung’s show earlier in the day.

The dance party continued afterward and included a cameo by Hanne Gaby Odiele, who complemented her Stussy T with a pair of ski goggles. It was unclear if she was nodding to a favored rap star accessory from that currently fashionable era or just bowing to the weekend weather.
