SEEING RED: You know you’re a clotheshorse when a museum invites you to exhibit your wardrobe and titles it “Fashion Victim.” “It’s my personal collection: 27 years of clothes,” Belgian singer Axelle Red enthused Saturday at Veronique Leroy’s fashion show. “I have a very important collection of Helmut Lang and all the rest are Belgian designers.”
The show is on at the Fashion Museum of Hasselt, Belgium, through June 2 and spans photos, videos and works of contemporary art. Red was given carte blanche to express her personal story about music and fashion. No doubt she’ll acquire more fashions as she embarks on promotions for her just-released album, "Rouge Ardent."
French actor, screenwriter and director Jalil Lespert, who is helming one of two forthcoming biopics about Yves Saint Laurent, also took in the show. He said filming would start in June, in Paris, Marrakech and New York.
