ON CUE: Lana Del Rey may love a live performance under the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean she’s averse to showcasing her talents over Skype now and again. The singer, who joined Juno Temple, Alexa Chung, and Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor in the front row at Mulberry’s show on Sunday morning, revealed she’s been working “quietly for a while” with Baz Luhrmann on his upcoming film, “The Great Gatsby.”
“I’m working on the orchestral cues for Daisy’s love scenes,” she said, referring to the lead character Daisy Buchanan, played by Carey Mulligan. “He’s in Australia, so we’ve been doing it over Skype.” And when she’s in front of the computer screen, Del Rey said she’s been “slowly working on music in Santa Monica, when I have time.”
Meanwhile, Temple, who earlier this month walked away with the Rising Star Award at the BAFTAs, said Mulberry was the first fashion show she’s ever attended. “I am a fashion fan, have always been a vintage shopper — I love Thirties-era lingerie, and I collect Ossie Clark,” said the Los Angeles-based, British actress. “And what I really want to do is design my own lingerie.”
