FIGHTING FORM: Julien Macdonald stacked his front row with a gaggle of British “It” girls, including the five members of The Saturdays — all bare legs and big hair — and the more discreet Mary Charteris and Jaime Winstone.
Winstone was taking a short break from her action-packed film and TV career to attend the show, held at Goldsmiths’ Hall with its soaring ceilings and flickering candle chandeliers. She has two films coming out later this year — “The Powder Room” and “uwantme2killhim?” — and is filming two series for British TV. “I’m f---ing exhausted! But I always have time for a bit of fashion,” she said matter-of-factly.
Charteris said she’s moving beyond modeling and styling, and beginning to deejay and record music with encouragement from her husband Robbie Furze, front man of The Big Pink. She’ll be playing keyboard for the band on their next tour. Charteris and Furze will also be teaming up later this year to design a unisex silver jewelry collection for their pal, the jeweler Zara Simon.
