Front Row at John Galliano

Lambert Wilson, Adriana Karembeu and Elie Semoun were among the attendees.

WORK IN PROGRESS: There seemed to be a common theme among many of the front-row celebrities at John Galliano’s show on Sunday: work and inspiration. “I love going to fashion shows, and I’m very often not here during fashion week,” said Lambert Wilson, who is about to start filming “Barbecue,” a comedy by Eric Lavaine about a man in his fifties who reconsiders his friendships after suffering a stroke. “It’s interesting for my work — not necessarily women’s wear, clearly, but what people wear. That’s something that I use in my work as an actor.”

Comedian Elie Semoun admitted he was not at home in the fashion world, but appeared to be making an effort. The actor opened his jacket to show off a label. “Look, I’m Dior!” he said. “Fashion’s a new world for me, but since I am a showman, any kind of show is interesting.”

French singer Alizée, meanwhile, whose latest album comes out next month, said that having started her career at age 15, she was aware of the importance of her image and its influence on young people. “Fashion is part of my job, because to be a singer these days is 50 percent image,” said the artist, showing off her tattoos — another work in progress – in a black sleeveless mini-dress. “It’s a big responsibility.”

Also present were Sidney Toledano, Adriana Karembeu, blogger Leandra Medine and Dannijo jewelry designers Danielle and Jodie Snyder.
