NO SWEAT: A standard fashion don’t — socks and sandals — got a stamp of approval from Scottish model Stella Tennant, who loped into the Celine show Sunday in a black trench coat and black satin pants that puddled over her slipper-like Celine shoes lined with white rabbit fur. “They’re a bit sweaty with socks,” she whispered. Kanye West, dressed in a brown fur coat, jeans and Timberland boots, also took in the show.
The set featured a parquet of rough-hewn 2X4s and an unfinished drywall ceiling, recalling the raw décor of Celine’s main Paris boutique on the Rue Francois 1er. According to sources, Celine will relocate to a large location on nearby Avenue Montaigne currently occupied by Roberto Cavalli and next door to Fendi and Saint Laurent flagships currently under construction. It is understood Dior Homme will take over the multi-level space on Rue Francois 1er once Celine exits, and that Givenchy will also arrive on the Avenue Montaigne, one of the French capital’s most prestigious retail addresses.
