BEAMS AT NAEEM: Love was in the air front row at Naeem Khan on Tuesday afternoon. “I’m not doing anything fashion-related tonight,” said Chelsea Leyland of her Valentine’s Day plans. The DJ was seated next to Hannah Bronfman and Amanda Hearst in the front row. Bronfman planned to attend a “trenchcoat party” for boutique lingerie brand The Lake and Stars with her boyfriend.

Alexandra Lebenthal and Jamee Gregory were also front row at the show, seated near Susan Fales-Hill, who wore a vintage pink Chanel jacket as a nod to the holiday in question. “I’m taking it easy this season,” Fales-Hill explained, “I’ve been busy writing my latest book. This is the second show I’ve gone to and it’s the last one, too.” Directly behind her was Padma Lakshmi, who was quickly absorbed into a crowd of photographers encircling a late-arriving Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso.

“This is my first fashion show this season,” Damon grinned, “I mean, it’s my first fashion show ever.” Barroso laughed. Did he know what to expect? “Not really,” Damon laughed. “It’s pretty exciting.” And were there any terribly romantic plans for the evening? “I don’t know,” Damon said, shooting a look at Barroso as he squeezed her left hand. “I think we’ll figure it out.”

As the show progressed, Damon’s face telegraphed his bewilderment, specifically at a few lace looks that incorporated illusion netting. A few seats away, Gene Simmons’ wife Shannon Tweed Simmons sat snapping photographs of the collection as it paraded by.

Further into the Lincoln Center theater, Julie Macklowe clutched a vbeauté “it kit.” “I just shoved one in Petra Nemcova’s hand, my husband was mortified. I didn’t even know who she was, but I was just like, ‘Here, it’s a clutch! Take a photo with it,’” Macklowe said, “Come on, viral marketing.” And as for the evening’s festivities? “Oh, no fashion parties for me tonight,” Macklowe shrugged, “I’d be beheaded if we had any fashion parties on Valentine’s Day. He expects me to cook him dinner and everything…which means I’ll probably be ordering take out.”
