ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVE: Earlier this month, entrepreneur Brunello Cucinelli started the process to list on the Italian Stock Exchange and on Wednesday, at his brand’s fall presentation, he seemed unfazed by the challenging economy and the fluctuating markets. “I see a lot of positivity in Italy. Italians are never particularly fond of [politicians], but for the first time, it seems like people believe in this government,” said Cucinelli of new Prime Minister Mario Monti and his efforts to ease the country’s debt. “There is a new moral and ethical awareness in participating in rebuilding the country. I am very confident in Italy and the Bourse and I believe the worst is over. This is a year of great opportunities for us and others in the world. There is always a strong interest in luxury and for a well made, beautiful product.”
