RUNWAY RUNAWAY: Sofia Coppola, Kirsten Dunst and Maggie Cheung were all front and center for Rodarte's show early Tuesday afternoon in Chelsea. Shortly after Dunst and Coppola found their seats, a dozen photographers descended on the pair.
"We’re a little too early," a smiling Dunst observed to her seatmate.
A chair marked “Kanye West” sat empty a few chairs away, seeming to indicate that Dunst and West would both be in the house as they were at Band of Outsiders' Saturday show.
“Kanye? I do love Kanye,” she said.
Any favorites off his new record?
“I like that douchebag song,” she said as she broke into a laugh. “Yeah, why not?”
A few seats down, Karen Elson, who had taken in the Marc Jacobs show and after party the night before, felt a bit under the weather.
"I lost my voice," she explained. “I was home by midnight. I don’t know. I’ve been sick, so it’s just a final hurrah.”
When West did show up, shortly before the show began, Elson made a hoarse-throated introduction.
“Karen,” she said. “Nice to meet you.”
The rapper has been on interview lockdown all week, so a new approach seemed in order. Would he answer a specifically fashion-related question?
“I’m not answering questions any more, sorry,” West said.
Not even who he was wearing?
He paused to consider the proposal.
“Nah,” he said with a smile. “Thanks a lot.”
