CAMPAIGN ENVY: At 71, Tina Turner remains “Simply the Best.” Just ask the jaded fashion crowd, who burst into applause when the singer walked into the Emporio Armani show. Turner came out of retirement in 2008 for a 50th anniversary tour, but said she was definitely done with live shows. “I’m retired for the moment, just enjoying doing nothing,” she said, while hinting a “different” project could soon see the light.

NFL player Kerry Rhodes revealed he was keen to walk in the hunky footsteps of David Beckham and Rafael Nadal by donning skivvies or jeans in an Armani ad campaign. “I’m a football player, but I’m one of the fashionable ones, so I would definitely welcome that opportunity,” he said.

Ricky Martin said he’ll be donning Armani designs for his next world tour, which kicks off on March 25 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then travels to the U.S., Canada and Europe. “I planned it so I could be here in the summer,” said the performer, who obviously relishes those long, balmy days in said continent.

Two British actresses also attened. Hayley Atwell said she hoped the release of summer blockbuster “Captain America,” in which she plays the superhero’s girlfriend, would bring more opportunities in film and fashion. “I would love to do a campaign,” she enthused. “Designing would be amazing as well.” She declined to comment on rumors she is joining Baz Luhrmann’s planned 3D remake of “The Great Gatsby,” featuring Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role. “That would be incredible. I know that the script is being worked on at the moment so it’s in the very early stages,” Atwell said.

Ruth Wilson, meanwhile, said she’s set to play the title role of “Anna Christie” opposite Jude Law at London’s Donmar Theater, with rehearsals starting in June.
