Among more frequent attendees like Zani Gugelmann and Poppy Delevingne, Yigal Azroul drew two newbies to his Fall show Friday morning. Singer Diane Birch was squeezing him in in between performances at NYU's Skirball Center and a shoot for an upcoming music video. And the Michigan-born, Zimbabwe-raised musician was having no problems pounding snowy streets in her vertiginous Chloe Sevigny-designed platform shoes.
"Because I wasn't taking the subway I realized I wasn't going to have a lot of walking to do," she shrugged.
Fellow front-rower Malin Akerman — in towering Acne pumps‹‹was more concerned with walking the runway later that night in the "Haiti Relief" show. Though she had a contingency plan.
"A glass of wine always takes the edge off," she said.
