GENDER BENDERS: The girls with mustaches who paraded at Vivienne Westwood had at least one fan in the audience: singer Beth Ditto. “Truly, no irony: they're one of my favorite things, girls with mustaches. That's why I never wax,” she said after the show on Friday.

 

Also in the front row was director Justin Theroux, who is in Paris to soak up inspiration for “Zoolander 2,” in which Ben Stiller will reprise his unforgettable role as a male model. Wearing shades, Theroux was hiding the effects of a very long night doing “research” as Paris nightlife is proving rich ground for inspiration, he said. “I went to the Purple party and a dinner I don’t even know where with all these amazing looking people,” said Theroux, adding that he hopes to cast a few cameo roles whilst in the French captial.

 

Terry Richardson, for instance, is on his hit list. So do fashion types have a sense of humor? “It’s funny they do, but nobody ever thinks the joke could be on them; they’re always pointing the finger at someone else,” said Theroux.
