As Oscar de la Renta’s loyal ladies settled into their seats at his Wednesday show, actress Jessica Biel took a moment to hang out in the backstage area admiring Karen Elson — “She’s so beautiful! I can’t even talk about it. I can’t.” — and even posing for pics with Karlie Kloss. The “Valentine’s Day” actress admitted fashion hasn’t always been a major focus for her, though she’s come around to its charms.

“It’s kind of a new thing for me. I didn’t [follow it closely] for a very long time, but I’m much more interested in it now,” said Biel, in head-to-toe Oscar de la Renta. For her recent “Valentine’s Day” publicity tour, she went for a “feminine, flirty, not ubersexy” style, even choosing one of de la Renta’s dresses for the film’s Los Angeles premiere.

“He knows how to make dresses for women that have bodies and always just knows how to cut for a really feminine, classic shape. You can’t go wrong with him for any occasion,” said Biel, who also hit up the William Rast show, where on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Timberlake is a partner. “I just feel like a woman when I put on [de la Renta’s] clothes, like a real woman,” she remarked.

That said, Biel seems to have quite an affection for the less-than-womanly models strutting the runways.

“They’re just like these beautiful creatures. I’m just so fascinated by what they do. It’s so challenging,” explained the actress. “[When I’m] doing a photo shoot, my back is killing me, my feet hurt, I look weird standing there. I’m just so impressed with them. I think it’s an underappreciated profession,” she continued. “And I want to be that tall.”
