Zac Posen Fall 2009: Zac's Rhapsody

Despite the exile of most A-List celebs to awards central LA, Zac Posen's front row Thursday still landed some star wattage.

Despite the exile of most A-List celebs to awards central LA, Zac Posen's front row Thursday still landed some star wattage. Long time fan Claire Danes was joined by Nicole Richie, Sandra Bernhardt, Alicia Keyes, and Ellen von Unwerth. Actress Rachel Bilson was hitting her last show this week. She was planning on attending Brian Reyes' after party post-show, before catching a 5 AM flight back to LA the next morning-amid rumors of her engagement to longtime beau Hayden Christensen. "I'm not really saying either-or right now," said Bilson, whose left hand was noticeably ring-free.

The starlets weren't the only ones getting attention at the show. When model Coco Rocha took her turn on the runway, a photographer in the pit shouted "Now that's a woman" at her, causing the audience to break out in laughter. Ever professional, Rocha responded with a sly smile, though she later confided backstage that she hadn't understood the snapper's catcall. "I thought he was being cheeky, so I smiled," Rocha said. "Then everyone started laughing and I got worried and did a body check to make sure the clothes were still on."

All the commotion didn't distract the 5 Browns, who provided a live soundtrack on a series of Steinway pianos on the runway. The siblings made their fashion show debut, and were impressed with the stylish crowd. "I was amazed," Melody Brown said. "They were so attentive, and they were listening and also looking at the clothes." She and her two sisters Desirae and Deondra even got to wear custom-made Posen creations, but since the designer has no men's wear yet, brothers Greg and Ryan had to make do with Tom Ford.
