At Martin Margiela Friday night, actress Clotilde Hesme said she would be outfitted in Yohji Yamamoto for her new role.

DRESSED TO KILL: At Martin Margiela Friday night, actress Clotilde Hesme said she would be outfitted in Yohji Yamamoto rather than period costumes for her role as an actress in “Angelou, Tyran de Padoue,” a story of love and espionage written by Victor Hugo and showing at this summer’s Avignon arts festival. “It’s a collaboration with Yamamoto. We’re going to go to and have a look through the archives,” said Hesme, who was accompanied by her actor fiancé, Julien Honoré. Also at the show, Kaat Debo, artistic director of Antwerp’s MoMu, said the fashion museum would host its first ever accessories-focused exhibition this fall, dedicated to the 180-year-old Belgian leather goods brand Delvaux. “It’s the Louis Vuitton of Belgium, only smaller,” said Debo, adding Delvaux collaborated with designer Veronique Branquino for next season. Coming in 2010 is a retrospective of milliner Stephen Jones in tandem with his 30th anniversary in business. “We really want to focus on all of the amazing collaborations he’s done with the likes of Comme des Garçons, Dior, Walter Van Beirendonck. He has this crazy [capacity for] fantasy,” she said. Australian singer Micky Green said she’s hibernating and working on her second album due out in October. “It’ll be more funky, with a mix of Seventies and a bit of Eighties thrown in," she said. Meanwhile, actress Natasha Regnier is relishing dark roles. First up, she plays the wife of a schizophrenic killer in a movie thriller called “Magma,” then a wife whose husband tries to kill her character in “L’Impasse du Desir.” “I like roles that have substance,” she noted.
