Italian It Girl Ambra Medda at Fendi

Ambra Medda turned up at Fendi’s show Monday because “we’re doing a project together for the Salone del Mobile,” she disclosed.

ARTS AND CRAFTS: Some girls have it all, like Italy’s Ambra Medda, the young and glamorous director and co-founder of contemporary design fair Design Miami Basel. She turned up at Fendi’s show Monday because “we’re doing a project together for the Salone del Mobile,” she disclosed.

Titled “Craft Punk,” the exhibition aims to support emerging industrial designers such as Peter Marigold, Tomas Liberty and design collective Raw Edges, and features design objects made from discarded material at the Fendi factory.

“The world is suffering a little. We need to show how young, creative talent can make a difference,” she said.

Meanwhile, Lapo Elkann said he was working on a new joint venture bespoke project, which he will unveil during Paris Fashion Week. Elkann also has a few other projects up his sleeve, including a new car and interiors for a new building project.

“From skyscrapers to cars and my own Italia Independent label, I’m always busy,” he said.
