Tibi Beauty: 'Impossibly Pretty'

At the Tibi show Tuesday evening, hairstylist Kevin Ryan of Rsession Tools began by twisting sections of hair around a curling iron, and then pinned each curl to set the look. Later, he removed the pins and back-combed the hair a touch before afixing it into a low ponytail.

"It's sort of like in 'Doctor Zhivago' when all the girls' hair looked impossibly pretty" and then was quickly pulled back with a few strands falling out.

For the face, Makky for MAC Cosmetics created a bright, graphic eye look inspired by a photo of model Christy Turlington from the Eighties. He made the look more contemporary by using three eye-shadow shades, namely aqua, light blue and purple, and creating a square shape around the eye. Using Studio Sculpt foundation, he created a smooth finish on the skin. Lips were dabbed with lip conditioner from MAC's Hello Kitty line.
