“It’s Seventies really,” said hairstylist Duffy, who was working with L’Oréal Professionnel, of the look he created backstage at PPQ. “It was inspired by a David Bailey picture of Twiggy.”
Duffy used extensions to add bulk to side-parted hair and worked Tecni.art Constructor into roots to create a dry texture. Hair was then braided into a thick plait, which was draped over models’ shoulders and spritzed with Tecni.art Crystal Gloss shine spray.
Makeup, meanwhile, focused on edgy eyes. “The inspiration is dirty, slutty, Goth, rock chicks,” said Sam Bryant, who was working with Lancôme. She translated that idea as dark eyes against slightly luminous skin, which was prepped using Flash Retouche concealer as a foundation. Peepers were primed with Laque Liner in Pure Black, which was blended with a black eyeshadow from an Ombre Absolue Duo compact, and finished with Hypnôse. The look was finished with a smidge of Color Fever Gloss in 212 on lips.
