Gilded Glamour at Marni

Makeup artist Tom Pecheux conceived Marni's fall face after he laid eyes on the collection's jeweled collars. "They really inspired me, so I wanted the makeup to look glamorous, like the antique gold and black necklaces," said Pecheux.

To translate the idea, Pecheux used MAC Cosmetics’ rose gold pigment powder all around the eye and kept the rest of the face bare. "Gold is powerful because it is androgynous: it can be masculine or feminine," he said.

Hair stylist Orlando Pita paired the shiny makeup with a low ponytail, mussed up to create a bubble-like profile.

"The hair is very free and not bothered, and it looks like it got caught in the clothes when the models dressed," said Pita.

To get the right texture, he applied Orlando Pita's T3 Plump to the hair before blow-drying, then fastened it into a low ponytail, pulling out loops to get the rounded shape.
