Pretty in Punk at Lanvin
Feathered headpieces ruled the roost at Friday's Lanvin show.
Hairstylist Guido Palau used feathers in black and russet hues to create choppy bangs and face-framing headpieces. The look, which Palau described as "couture with punk undertones," was enhanced with simple locks. Models' tresses were blown dry using a slick of Thickening Lotion from Redken, which sponsored the show's hair effort. A simple ponytail and a touch of quick-dry hairspray completed the style.
Makeup, meanwhile, was pared down with punchy pouts. Pat McGrath created a pale, natural look by highlighting cheeks and the center of eyelids. Peepers were subtly accentuated with brown liner while lips looked luscious in red. "But color is randomly applied," cautioned McGrath. "The result is a powerful woman with structured beauty."
