Babes in the Wood at Kenzo
Delicate was the watchword at Wednesday morning’s Kenzo show. Hairstylist Luigi Murenu created a look that was “wispy and romantic, almost childlike,” he said backstage. “It’s like a David Hamilton photograph.”
Using Surf Spray by Bumble and bumble to create a dry texture, together with some Kérastase Nutritive Mousse for body, Murenu made a deep side parting that allowed models’ hair to sweep low over the forehead. He then twisted long locks into a disheveled rope, which he wound upon itself to create a small chignon at the nape. A spray of Elnett and some bobby pins held everything in place.
Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, who was working with MAC Cosmetics, went for washes of color on cheeks and lips to make models look like “garden nymphs.” Using products by MAC, she kept the effect very light and natural. Key products were two cream blushes in pink tones, called Posey and Laid Back. Eyes got a slick of black mascara, framed by gelled brows.
