DOUBLE VISION: Guests at the Ulyana Sergeenko couture show in Paris could be forgiven for doing a double-take: In her sweeping black dress and braided hair, Ornella Muti was a dead ringer for the Russian designer — age difference notwithstanding.
The actress, who is rumored to be joining Italy’s version of “Dancing with the Stars,” said she had several projects in the works, but nothing she could reveal yet.
Dolores Chaplin just completed “The Price of Fame” with director Xavier Beauvois. “It’s a bit of a surprise,” she said of her role. It turns out the plot is based on the true story of two thieves who stole the coffin of her grandfather, Charlie Chaplin, from a cemetery in Switzerland in 1978 and tried to extract a ransom for its return.
The actress said she got to wear vintage Ferragamo for the role, and would be donning Forties garb for her next project, “Pure Life,” by first-time director Jeremy Banster. Though much of the action takes place in the Amazon rainforest, her part will keep her in Paris.
“The boys have gone off on their adventure in the Amazon rainforest. I’m the woman who stays at home, as usual,” Chaplin said with a rueful laugh.
When Sergeenko took her bow, she was sporting a new pixie cut, but a mini-me was waiting in the wings: Her young daughter Vasilisa, who stepped out in front of the audience first, standing by herself against a backdrop of swirling dry ice.
