Monique Lhuillier transformed her showroom into an enchanted secret garden for her fall bridal presentation. The gowns had a romantic, heirloom quality, with floral, vine and lattice motifs worked in rich embroideries and delicate beadwork. “It’s opulence with a light touch,” said Lhuillier. While some looks were shown in the requisite white and ivory tones, the real news came via the blush palette and a stunning dusty lavender-gray shade, the latter used for an embellished tulle halter gown with an elongated bodice and embroidered ruffle skirt.
Embellished in Swarovski crystals, Lhuillier’s shoes were shown in big, exotic birdcages, with the fine jewelry collection of rings, bracelets and pendants tucked away under glass domes hidden in greenery.
