Emanuel Chirico

Emanuel Chirico is chairman and chief executive of Philips Van-Heusen, the largest dress shirt maker in the United States.

Chirico’s induction as ceo of PVH in 2006 was sudden; his predecessor was ushered out after just eight months on the job. Chirico’s impact on the company also was swift: PVH’s newly acquired Calvin Klein marquee brand flourished under his leadership and he engineered the ambitious move into full-price “white label” Calvin Klein stores. In addition, Chirico led the acquisition of Superba, a neckwear manufacturer, and secured a key licensing deal for causal sportswear with outdoor brand Timberland.

Six years later Chirico was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. He was named ceo in 2006, one year before adding the title, chairman, at PVH.
