Madonna did indeed strike a pose for Steven Klein, to appear in the new Dolce & Gabbana spring ad campaign, shot in a Brooklyn studio over the weekend. While the company didn’t issue a statement, the confirmation is loud and clear on Swide, the house’s online magazine, where a bold-type headline states that, “Madonna shoots Dolce & Gabbana’s campaign.”
Stefano Gabbana’s prolific blogging added color to the undertaking with numerous tweets to the tune of “We are at the last shot…M [Madonna] is simply beautiful,” and “we’re very, very tired but very happy as well….To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true.” Madonna’s latest big campaign was for Louis Vuitton this year. She featured in both the spring and fall seasons.
