LONDON — Charlotte Evans has been appointed to the newly-created role of Group Publishing Director of Condé Nast Johansens, Conde Nast’s guide to luxury hotels, venues and spas in the U.K., Europe and the Americas.
London-based Conde Nast U.K. said in a statement Friday that Evans will have responsibility for the digital and print business development of Johansens across all the international markets the guide covers. Her role is effective as of November 5, and has been created as result of the retirement of Andrew Warren, who is currently managing director of Conde Nast Johansens. Evans has been promoted from the role of European publishing director of Conde Nast Johansens, a position she has held since 2001.
Nicholas Coleridge, Managing Director of Condé Nast U.K. said, “As well as her extensive experience of hotels and hotel branding, Charlotte has also played an integral part in transforming Johansens from a niche hotel guide known only to a select few travelers in Britain to an internationally trusted symbol of excellence. I’m delighted she is taking on this challenging role, ensuring a smooth handover from Andrew Warren on his retirement,” he stated.
Evans added: “I’m hugely grateful to Andrew for all I have learned from him,” she said. “The business comes to me in great shape, and I look forward to evolving the brand, responding to the manner in which consumers increasingly source travel intelligence today.”
