DVF, NET-A-PORTER TEAM WITH GOOGLE:
Diane von Furstenberg and its eyewear licensee Marchon created a series of frames to accommodate Google Glass. DVF Made for Glass — which contains an optical frame available in five colors, as well as two sunglass silhouettes in four colorways — will go on sale at google.com/glass and Net-a-porter.com on June 23.

WEARABLE TECH HITS ADOLESCENCE: For every cool new idea that promises to revolutionize what we wear (dresses made by 3-D printers, fitness and health trackers), there’s an example of the sort of awkwardness — in form, function or price — that makes it clear wearables at large are not ready for prime time.

E-PITTI LINKS WITH FASHION TECHNOLOGY ACCELERATOR:
E-Pitti, the portal of Florence-based trade producer Pitti Immagine, has signed a partnership agreement with Fashion Technology Accelerator. The consulting firm has offices in Silicon Valley, Milan and Seoul and offers a business accelerator program to start up companies.

BRITT ABOUTALEB NAMED MANAGING EDITOR AT YAHOO BEAUTY: Bobbi Brown, editor in chief of Yahoo Beauty, has made her first big hire, poaching Britt Aboutaleb from Allure.

WIRED LAUNCHING DESIGN ISSUE WITH TWO-DAY RETREAT:
Wired editor in chief Scott Dadich has found yet another way to fete the intersection between design and culture. The magazine will launch its October Design Issue with a two-day retreat, called Wired By Design, which will be held in Marin County, Calif., on Sept. 29.

YAHOO’S LEA SOSIN HEADING TO HEARST:
Lee Sosin, former vice president of strategy solutions for Yahoo, will join Hearst Magazines Digital Media as senior vice president.

TIME INC. ACQUIRES COZI INC.: Time Inc. is betting on digital with the acquisition of Cozi Inc., a Seattle-based technology firm.
