TWITTER UNVEILS VITAL STATS FOR IPO: Twitter Inc. is officially under the Wall Street microscope, the registration statement for the company’s initial public offering made public Thursday revealing that revenues jumped nearly threefold in 2012 to $316.9 million.
 
FASHION GPS RAISES SERIES A: Fashion GPS said it raised $4 million in Series A funding Oct. 2, and founder and chief executive officer Eddie Mullon told WWD he plans to open offices in Milan and Hong Kong.
 
FAB LAYS OFF OVER 100 EMPLOYEES: Fab.com chief executive officer Jason Goldberg confirmed in a blog post Oct. 3 that the company laid off 101 of its more than 500 employees.

HERMÈS OPENS SILK BAR POP-UP IN NEW YORK: Hermès opened a Silk Bar pop-up shop at the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle Tuesday with an omnichannel tie-in, coinciding with the launch of the brand’s first app, Silk Knots.
 
INSTAGRAM TO INTEGRATE ADS:
Instagram will soon feature advertising, and the Facebook-owned company said in a blog post Oct. 3 that over the next several months, users in the United States will see an “occasional ad” in their feeds.
 
HAUTELOOK FOUNDER TO STEP DOWN AS CEO: HauteLook founder Adam Bernhard is stepping down as chief executive officer, and the site will now be run by president Terry Boyle, who joined the flash-sale site as chief operating officer and chief financial officer in 2008.
