WINNERS WELCOME: Milan entertained new Marie Claire editor in chief Anne Fulenwider, with vice president and publisher Nancy Berger Cardone, at a cocktail party Monday night at the Armani Hotel’s Bamboo Bar, in celebration of two awards from Advertising Age: one naming Marie Claire Magazine of the Year and the other recognizing Berger Cardone as Publisher of the Year. At the party, guests including jeweler Sergio Antonini and aristocrat Marina Borromeo sipped Champagne and nibbled on plates of mushroom risotto.

Having flown in that morning from New York, the Marie Claire duo was dizzy from a whirlwind tour of meetings. “It’s been like this from Day One. It’s been great,” said Fulenwider, who arrived at the helm of Marie Claire in September, following Joanna Coles’ departure for Cosmopolitan.

Berger Cardone said she is always happy to visit the Italian fashion capital, although this trip will be short: “My husband and I are hosting 26 people for Thanksgiving on Thursday, so I really have to get back,” she exclaimed.
