Town & Country Plans Ahead... Hugo Lindgren Talks Shop... Digital Dreams...

At Town & Country, Stephen Drucker has asked Sarajane Hoare to direct fashion editorial for the magazine’s March issue — yes, March 2011.

EARLY WORD: Hugo Lindgren was still laughing about his dark horse run a day after landing the editor’s job at The New York Times Magazine. “People called me up all the time and asked me who I thought was going to get it,” Lindgren told WWD Friday. The outgoing Bloomberg Businessweek executive editor starts at the Times on Oct. 25, but as of Friday afternoon hadn’t yet figured out when his first issue will appear. He also wasn’t ready to unveil the editorial vision that won him the job (“It’s different when you’re thinking hypothetically,” he said.), but did say it wouldn’t take too much of a masthead overhaul to achieve. “There’s not going to be a lot of heads rolling around,” Lindgren said. “There’s not a shortage of talent. It’s just a question of how to use it.” — Matthew Lynch
