The campaign was inspired by the book “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

STARTER CAMPAIGN: Marc New York, a division of Andrew Marc, will advertise for the first time this fall. The campaign, conceived and photographed by Chris Gbur, Andrew Marc’s creative director, was inspired by the book “Fifty Shades of Grey,” and features 2012 “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant and 2008 Miss Universe winner Dayana Mendoza in an unzipped dress and former Scottish rugby player Thom Evans appearing only in a towel.

The ads, which were shot at the Michelson Studio in New York, will run in the September and October issues of Glamour and People StyleWatch magazine, as well as digital and outdoor venues. The company declined to reveal the fall ad budget but said it’s part of Andrew Marc’s overall budget, which is up slightly from a year ago.

Marc New York makes men’s outerwear, bags, eyewear, knitwear, neckwear and shoes, while the women’s collection includes outerwear, dresses, handbags and sunglasses.
