Stanford Postpones Cathy Horyn, Alexander Wang Talk

It was expected to take place April 10.

WANG TALK POSTPONED AT STANFORD: Fashion at Stanford, a series of conversations between Cathy Horyn and notable fashion industry types, has postponed its upcoming conversation with Alexander Wang. It was expected to take place April 10.

Horyn, who resigned as fashion critic of The New York Times to care for her partner Art Ortenberg, who has since died, was unable to conduct the interview. A posting on the Stanford Web site, said: “For personal reasons, Cathy Horyn is not able to be present at Stanford for the conversation with Alexander Wang. Due to this and other complicating scheduling factors, Alexander Wang’s visit to Stanford has been postponed until the 2014-15 academic year. An announcement about the new date will be made when more information is available.”

Horyn’s series began with a conversation with Ron Johnson, former chief executive officer of J.C. Penney Co. Inc., followed by a conversation with photographer Annie Leibovitz and Pascal Dangin, founder and ceo of Box. Horyn was unable to conduct her conversation with Antoine Arnault, ceo of Berluti, and instead that conversation took place with Matthew Tiews, executive director of the arts program at Stanford.
