SOCCER STAR: Italian eyewear and lifestyle brand Police has landed a new global brand ambassador for 2014: Brazilian soccer champion Neymar Jr., who follows in the footsteps of former Police faces Bruce Willis, George Clooney, David Beckham and Antonio Banderas. Neymar Jr. will appear in Police’s latest ad campaign shot by Rankin.

The Police brand is owned by De Rigo Vision SpA. Founded in 1983, the company made a name for itself in the eyewear category with its unusual blue mirrored lenses, and expanded over the years to include perfume, watches and jewelry, as well as a selection of small leather goods and clothing.

Neymar Jr. is known as a formidable scorer of goals, and will be a forward for Brazil in the World Cup championship in June.
