RECOGNITION FOR A JOB…: There was no jaunt to the beach, but Condé Nast still doled out awards to its publishers Tuesday night at the close of its annual publishers meeting. Chief executive officer Chuck Townsend awarded the Publisher of the Year prize to Kim Kelleher, vice president and publisher of Self, where ad pages declined only 3.2 percent last year to 1,322 pages, according to Publishers Information Bureau, at a time when most other titles were registering double-digit drops. Townsend also gave out awards to individual titles for their ad page performances: Cookie, platinum; Self and Allure, gold; Details, silver, and Golf World, bronze. Chief operating officer John Bellando was named corporate executive of the year. — Stephanie D. Smith
