NEW ROLE: Alison Adler Matz has been named senior vice president and publisher of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc.’s Everyday Food and Whole Living brands. Adler Matz is leaving Fairchild Fashion Media, where she served as publisher of WWD Beauty Inc. and handled the group’s beauty sales. Prior to working at Fairchild, she was publisher of Brides, after having served as associate publisher at Glamour, Teen Vogue and House & Garden.
Adler Matz is the latest in a string of hires at MSLO. Last week, Laura Petasnick left her role as publisher of Prevention to become vice president, integrated sales at Martha Stewart Living. In January, Peter Medwid was named senior vice president and publisher of Martha Stewart Living. Medwid came to MSLO from Time Inc. He joins editor in chief Pilar Guzmán, who, at this point, seems like a veteran at the company, with one year under her belt.
