MORE THAN JUST FOOD: Bon Appétit has been hard at work to recast itself as a lifestyle magazine. During fashion week, it expanded last year’s “Feast or Fashion” campaign, convincing some 40 restaurants to host joint dinners and promotional events with designers. And in December, it’s rolling out a new print and online marketing campaign to promote what it calls “food lifestyle.” As part of the campaign, it’s asked readers to submit photos evocative of the intersection of food and culture.
The best photos — picked by judges including ABC Kitchen chef Dan Kluger — will appear in the campaign, which will unfold first online, on several trade-publication Web sites, and later in February in Condé Nast magazines.
