Lisa Pomerantz is joining Michael Kors as senior vice president of global communications and marketing, effective July 6. Pomerantz had spent nine years at Bottega Veneta as director of global communications and marketing before starting her own consultancy last year, working with Carolina Herrera, among others. Kors said Pomerantz “understands my vision and voice. She is the perfect candidate to lead our global communications expansion.” Pomerantz and Kors aren’t strangers. The two worked closely together at Celine, where Pomerantz served as director of communications for North America when Kors was its designer in the late Nineties.
She will report to Michael Kors chief executive officer John Idol.
