MAN IN MOTION: Karl Lagerfeld is the star of a short fly-on-the-wall documentary recording his movements on Sept. 10, as he went to work at Chanel’s headquarters, caused media mayhem as he attended Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out in Paris and posed for a photo shoot. The title, “The Blonde and I,” refers to blonde-haired television reporter Alexandra Golovanoff, who shadowed Lagerfeld throughout the day. The piece shows Lagerfeld sketching an outfit at breakneck speed and being caught by surprise as Carla Bruni-Sarkozy calls during a live radio show to wish him happy birthday. He even finds the time to head to an airport to feature in a late-night photo shoot in front of airplane, saying playfully, “I look good on the runway.” The 10-minute segment aired Sunday on French television channel Paris Premiere.
