IN HIS FASHION: Tommy Hilfiger drew a packed house at Milk Gallery on Thursday night, with fellow designers and celebrities on hand to celebrate the artist Sam Haskins and his new exhibition, the biggest of his career. Hilfiger is also co-publisher of “Fashion Etcetera by Sam Haskins: Tommy Hilfiger Special Edition.” “I’ve been studying his work for many years,” Hilfiger said. “And using ‘Cowboy Kate’ as a source of inspiration.” Unfortunately, Haskins couldn’t attend the event, since he recently suffered a stroke, but his son Ludwig played host and told guests his father is doing well. “He’s made remarkable progress,” Ludwig said. “He signed books at the hospital for tonight’s event. This is the most important exhibition of his career.” Nearly 500 people stopped by, including Dee Hilfiger and Ally Hilfiger, Rebecca Minkoff, Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra, Jamie Burke and Oren Haskins. — Amy Wicks
