FIRST PAL: There are obviously no hard feelings between Bill Clinton and Chelsea's ex-boyfriend, Ian Klaus. The former president — and perhaps soon to be first man — is hosting a party on Wednesday in honor of Klaus' new book, "Elvis Is Titanic." And although the notion of ex-girlfriend's father as book party host certainly isn't customary, a spokeswoman for Knopf, the book's publisher, added that Chelsea and her friends will be in attendance. In fact, Klaus dedicated the book to Chelsea.

"Elvis is Titanic" is an account of the semester Klaus spent teaching U.S. history and English to Kurdish students at Salahaddin University in Arbil, the largest city in Iraqi Kurdistan. Knopf, coincidentally, also published Bill Clinton's memoir, "My Life" and new book, "Giving." So the party is a family affair — sort of. — Amy Wicks

PLANNING AHEAD: There are no guarantees yet, but Condé Nast Publications chief operating officer John Bellando said Friday that the company may construct a new office tower at Hudson Yards in Manhattan. And while the development would not be completed for roughly 10 years, Condé Nast has agreed to join forces with the Durst Organization and Vornado Realty Group, who will submit a request for proposal to develop the West Side Rail Yard. The winning proposal will be selected sometime during the first quarter of next year. In the announcement, Bellando added, "...our participation would provide Condé Nast with the opportunity to secure prime space in this exciting development." But who would design the cafeteria this time? — A.W.
