Gugenheim Media has elevated Lynne Segall to the role of executive vice president and group publisher of The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard.
Prior to this role, Segall had led advertising sales and initiatives for just THR as senior vice president and publisher. She will report to Guggenheim entertainment group co-president John Amato.
In her new role, Segall will be responsible for advertising at Billboard, as well as expanding business through digital and sponsorship offerings.
"Key to this will be leading the integration of advertising sales and business development between The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard with the creation of cross-platform sales opportunities for the two brands," the company said.
Amato touted Segall's work at THR, citing advertising revenue growth from 2012 to 2013 of 75 percent in the consumer/luxury sector and a 35 percent increase in digital revenue. He also pointed to initiatives such as THR's Women in Entertainment breakfast, Stylist Luncheon with Jimmy Choo and its Next Gen gala celebration, as money makers.
"With John Amato spearheading the revamping of the Billboard brand and Janice [Min] overseeing a newly invigorated editorial approach, we're at the start of a tryly great evolution, one I'm exceedingly proud to be a part of," Segall offered.
Billboard has been in flux over the past few months as Min, who was promoted to copresident and chief creative officer of parent company Guggenheim in January, has been charged with revamping the music trade publication. Following a string of hires, Min brought on former Hearst International executive editor Tony Gervino as editor to help broaden the scope of the paper's coverage in April.
